Long Term Goals
Our long-term goal is to establish a complete medical
& rehabilitation
facility where many horses will be able to heal or recuperate and become
available for adoption. When horses are donated to Indiana Horse Rescue, they
are received, evaluated and prepared for new homes. Horses may also be at
foster homes for rehabilitation once they are past the majority of their medical
problems and health issues. We hope to save the lives of many horses
that would otherwise be standing in a pasture with no care or shelter. We benefit society by
enabling more people to have a place to send their horses when they can no
longer keep them, others get to know the joys of horse keeping. In addition, by
keeping more horses alive, all equine-related businesses and services (grain
& hay farmers, tack shops, veterinarians, farriers, and more) will benefit. IHR
also fosters horses for any law enforcement agency at no cost to their agency. |
