DONATIONS

Without the support of individuals like you, animal rescues such as IHR would not be possible.  The APC and IHR receive no local, state or federal support or funding.  We count on financial donations to rescue abused and neglected animals throughout the state.

Animal Protection Coalition is a 501(c)3 non profit organization-
donations are tax deductible!
Please, help us help the horses!

Donate - Veterinary expenses, shelter and feed for these animals will be expensive.  Make a donation securely online or mail a gift to the address below.

Your donations enable us to give these horses the proper care they need, the time to recuperate and still enable us to continue rescuing or taking in other horses in need.   Your donations go to perform medical procedures that the horses need, to vaccinate them, dental care, de-worm them,  and feed them!!  Some horses coming in require additional feed, supplements, and many things the average horse may not need.

don't forget to support our Permanent Residents!!

If you are unable to provide a home for a horse at this time, you can show your love with a gift of money, time or supplies.  Indiana Horse Rescue is run completely by volunteers.  Without your support in the form of adoptions and donations IHR would not exist.  IHR will continue to do everything within its means to help prevent such suffering--but we cannot do it alone.  Good intentions are the foundation of this charity, but caring for horses requires funding on a day by day basis. IHR and our network of foster farms can only do so much on a limited budget.  If you can toss a few coins in the hat, you can rest assured that you are helping a good cause. Your donation could make the difference between life and death for a horse, literally.  Thanks to those who have already joined the IHR family and welcome to those of you who are just getting to know us.

We have attended many auctions in the past including the Shipshewana Auction in Shipshewana, IN.  When funds and space allow, we bid against the kill buyers that purchase these horses for slaughterhouses.  America's horses are being slaughtered alive for human consumption.  Yes, people are eating horsemeat!!  After slaughtered, horse meat is exported overseas.

We have young and old horses alike.  Yes, we bring in young, healthy, rideable horses, and sometimes we bring home aged and/or seriously sick or injured horses.  All horses must go through a quarantine period.  During that period we evaluate them to see what type of temperament they have.  We then expose these horses to all types of noises and situations to see if they appear to be safe for children, if they are rideable, if so what type of riding can they do.  All horses adopted by Animal Protection Coalition are tracked for the rest of their lives.  We require reports & pictures be sent annually to verify their needs are being met.

Can you help us help the horses?
